how can i build arm muscle at home?
hi all, i have started doing a kickboxing/MMA class at my school and i enjoy it a lot. but when it comes to punching i am useless. i just can’t feel any real power. i have barely any muscle on my arm and i am looking for a a way to gradually get better at punching via building muscle. i am only 15 and cannot join a gym. does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can build muscle at home. any help, any at all is great. thanks.

Drae answers:
Do lifting exercises. If you have nothing around the house that you can use start with heavy coffee cans or something similar.

What exercises can i do at home to build muscle?
I am 110 lbs and dont want to lose weight, but I would like to build muscle and looked toned. I prefer exercises that I can do at home that work the entire body and require little or no equipment.

Great ways to work out/build muscle/loose fat at home?
I would like to know some great ways to lose fat, and build muscle at home, not a gym. I plan to go to a gym during the summer, if I am able to. what are some great, non expensive equipment? also, what type of exercises would be good? (ex. sit-ups, jumping jacks…)
one last thing, how to do them and how long would be great.
Thanks so much!!

How can i build leg muscle at home ?
I was born with chicken legs and i have pretty toned thighs from strength training at my school, but im also a big dancer with my high school team and i am always embarassed of my skinny legs when we wear cut pants..i go up on my tip toes and back down over and over at home like 60 times to try and build muscle but it doesnt seem like im getting anywhere..
im sure it just takes time..but anyone have any better suggestions to help ?

Drae answers:
You’ve gotten to the point when you’re just doing endurance exercise. You need to apply weights though in order to gain hypertrophy (muscle mass). Basically you need to lift 85% or more of the most weight you can lift with the targeted muscle(s) at the gym. It might take about 2 weeks before you will noticed an increase in muscle mass so be patient.

Betty asks…
Is there any possible way to build muscle at home, without any weights?
I cant afford to workout at the gym or free weights. I want to know is there any household items I can use as a sub for weights and how can I use them?

Drae answers:
You only need $2.00 for freeweights…
Go to the grocery store and get two 1gallon jugs of bottled water…
Use those for weights…
If they are not heavy enough… Get a bag of play sand from home depot and put in as much sand to each bottle to make it the weight you need…
